Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Unknown gunmen have abducted a Catholic Priest, Rev. Prof. Izu Marcell Onyeocha at Ihube Community in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that the gunmen invaded the community early hours of Sunday, shot sporadically, before whisking the priest to an unknown destination.<\/p>\n

Rev. Prof. Izu Marcell is also a lecturer at Imo State University in Owerri.<\/p>\n

He is a native of Avuru Community in Ikeduru Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n

When contacted, the state\u2019s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Orlando Godson Ikeokwu told DAILY POST correspondent that some members of the community were in the station to report the incident.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cit\u2019s just now that some members of the community came to the station in that regard.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will get back to you after hearing them out\u201d, Orlando said.<\/p>\n
