Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 89 fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in nine states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, bringing the total number of active cases across the country to 7,669.<\/p>\n

The public health agency made this known on Wednesday while giving an update via its official website.<\/p>\n

The agency also discharged 45 patients after testing negative twice for the virus.<\/p>\n

So far, Nigeria has recorded 164,000 cases of the virus since its outbreak in February 2020.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, about 2,061 patients have died of the virus complications, while a total of 154,270 persons have been successfully treated.<\/p>\n
