Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has declared that nobody can undermine the state when deciding the next president of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Wike maintained that Rivers State plays a vital role in who becomes the next president of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that whoever would become Nigeria\u2019s next president needs to secure votes in Rivers, in combination with either Kano or Lagos States.<\/p>\n

Wike spoke during the grand finale of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) local government election campaign in Ulakwo, Etche Local Government area of the state on Thursday.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI keep telling the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), that no state has given more votes to the party than Rivers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it is only in Rivers, in the whole of South-South, that the All Progressives Congress (APC) didn\u2019t get 25 per cent votes in 2019 General
\nelection. We taught them a lesson.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Nigeria, nobody wins presidency if you didn\u2019t win either Rivers and Lagos or Kano and Lagos together. Rivers is not a state anybody can joke
\nwith. Some states went to negotiate with them. Rivers didn\u2019t do it.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
