Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has ordered the Vice-Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Prof Michael Ologunde to vacate office.<\/p>\n

The letter was signed by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olasunkanmi Olaleye.<\/p>\n

Olaleye directed Ologunde to \u201c\u2018step aside until further notice.\u201d<\/p>\n

He was directed to hand over to the next principal officer in rank in order to ensure uninterrupted flow of normal activities.<\/p>\n

No reason was given for the sack. Ologunde reportedly drew Makinde\u2019s anger for allegedly inciting workers of the institution over unpaid salaries.<\/p>\n

LAUTECH, formerly jointly owned with Osun State, is now under the sole control of the Oyo government.<\/p>\n
