Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured Nigerians that the pump price of petroleum products would not be increased in the near future.<\/p>\n

Sen. John Akpanudoedehe, Secretary, APC Caretaker and Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) gave the assurance at an event organised by APC Professionals\u2019 Forum at the party\u2019s national secretariat in Abuja.<\/p>\n

Akpanudoedehe, who represented Gov. Mai Mala Buni, said the party has spoken against increase in price of petrol and that would not change.<\/p>\n

According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari is a listening President and takes into commitment complaints of Nigerians.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother thing we have achieved recently is the issue in the pump price of petroleum, the party said no to it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt does not matter the circumstances, the party say the time is not ripe, that is the position of the party and they listened.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of the things Nigerians complained about, Buhari already knows, once you bring anything or those issues before him, he will take it with commitment,\u201d Akpanudoedehe said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mele Kyari, while condemning the re-emergence of petrol queue across the country, assured that the situation will normalize in hours.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, long queues hit Abuja filling stations as petrol scarcity resurfaced.<\/p>\n
