1. Chad President, Idriss Deby, was confirmed dead yesterday by the military. He died due to injuries he sustained at the war front against some rebels.<\/p>\n

2. President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, nominated Justice Salisu Garba as the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja. Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, read the letter during Tuesday plenary.<\/p>\n

3. Kaduna Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, yesterday, said the only way to put an end to banditry in the country is for the military to bomb the forests where they are hiding and eliminate them completely.<\/p>\n

4. The Federal Government on Tuesday, condemned the decision of the United Kingdom to grant asylum to alleged persecuted members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra. Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, said the decision disrespects Nigeria.<\/p>\n

5. The Federal Government yesterday, claimed that the secession agenda and activities in Nigeria is no longer succeeding due to the failure of secessionists to intimidate and extort money from President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari\u2019s spokesman, Garba Shehu stated this on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

7. The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), an umbrella body over all pentecostal churches in Nigeria with about 65 million people, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to properly govern the country with equity and justice. 8. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it plans to resume nationwide Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) on April 28 to allow eligible voters register ahead of the 2023 poll.
