The Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah, yesterday, advised secession agitators that it would be cheaper to stay together as one country. The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, yesterday, expressed displeasure over the atrocities being perpetrated by terrorists, bandits and kidnappers across the country. He urged President Muhammadu Buhari to fix Nigeria\u2019s security challenges before it becomes too late.<\/p>\n<p>4. Senate President, Ahmed Lawan on Saturday said the essence of a good government is the continued ability to improve the protection and welfare of the people. Lawan made the remark during his address at the 2021 May Day celebration yesterday in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>5. The police in Ogun State on Saturday arrested 11 Yoruba nation agitators protesting in Abeokuta. The state police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the arrest, accused the agitators of launching unprovoked attacks on the security operatives.<\/p>\n<p>6. The Tiv Youth Organisation, TYO, an umbrella body of all Tiv youths worldwide, yesterday, alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari was part of the Fulani\u2019s agenda to take over Nigeria. The President-General of the group, Timothy Hembaor stated this in a statement while reacting to a comment by Garba Shehu against Governor Ortom.<\/p>\n<p>7. Leader of the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday, called on Igbos to ignore claims by the presidency that Father Ejike Mbaka criticised the President because he was denied contracts but rather defend their brother. The president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, again hit hard on President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday, saying the nation\u2019s helmsman has failed woefully.
