Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the recommendation of Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi for an Administrative Panel of Inquiry to probe the management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).<\/p>\n

His Special Assistant on Media, Garba Shehu made the announcement Thursday night in a statement.<\/p>\n

The President also approved that the Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman should step aside while the investigation is on.<\/p>\n

Mohammed Koko, the Executive Director of Finance and Administration will act in the position.<\/p>\n

The panel is to be headed by the Director, Maritime Services, Transport Ministry, while the Deputy Director, Legal of the same ministry will serve as Secretary.<\/p>\n

Other members of the panel will be appointed by the Minister, the statement added.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST reported that the suspension might be connected to an alleged feud between Amechi and Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.<\/p>\n
