Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Former Man City and England winger, Trevor Sinclair has called on the English FA to deduct six points from Manchester United for fielding a \u2018disrespectful\u2019 team in their defeat to Leicester City on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Brendan Rodgers\u2019 Leicester defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday night to strengthen their position in the top four.<\/p>\n

The defeat also handed Manchester City a fifth Premier League title.<\/p>\n

Sinclair, though excited that his former club finally clinched the title, called for an investigation into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer\u2019s decision to field a weakened team.<\/p>\n

United boss, Solskjaer made ten changes to the side that beat Aston Villa on Sunday, with the likes of 18-year-old Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga, 19, starting the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cWithout being disrespectful to the players that played tonight, they made ten changes, this is their \u2018B\u2019 team,\u201d Sinclair told talkSPORT.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that\u2019s disrespectful and it takes away from the top four race.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy didn\u2019t the police and the club make amendments and make sure they safeguard the stadium? They didn\u2019t do that.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe teams that are going to suffer from Man United\u2019s lack of due diligence, the ones who could miss out on the top four, are Chelsea possibly, Liverpool, West Ham and Tottenham.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there needs to be a punishment for Man United. Three points isn\u2019t enough because that doesn\u2019t affect anything.<\/p>\n

\u201cI honestly feel the way they put out this team, the way they didn\u2019t safeguard their stadium, I think a six-point deduction should be given to Manchester United.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
