Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Olusegun Bamgbose, Esq., National Coordinator, Concerned Advocates for Good Governance, CAGG, has hinted on those responsible for the reported robbery attack at the Presidential Villa and their motives.<\/p>\n

The lawyer said robbers were sent by some powerful figures from either in or outside the country.<\/p>\n

He claimed they could also be mercenaries on a mission.<\/p>\n

Speaking further on what their mission could be, the legal practitioner alleged that the criminals came to test the waters and not to rob but or possibly after some highly sensitive documents or probably to plant some security gadgets to monitor activities of what goes on in the Presidential Villa.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe recently attempted robbery at the residence of Chief of Staff to President Mohammadu Buhari is a clear indication that no Nigerian is secured,\u201d he told DAILY POST on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis incident has gone to show that the Presidential Villa is vulnerable to attack any time.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs one who has deep knowledge about security issues, the reality is that there are moles, spies, mercenaries in Aso Rock working for an interest.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey did this to test the waters. One may not be able to precisely state categorically for now, what the interest is all about.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever the truth is that the burglars didn\u2019t come to rob but possibly after some highly sensitive documents or probably to plant some security gadgets to monitor activities of what goes on.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe issue is that those people were sent by some powerful figures in the country or outside the country. They are probably mercenaries who were on a mission. The entire Presidential Villa should be cordoned off.<\/p>\n

\u201cCaution is the keyword or else Aso Rock may explode soon. This is certainly the work of mercenaries who possibly have invaded the Villa.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuch things should not be taken for granted, considering the security situation in the country. There should be serious investigations to avert looming danger in Aso Rock.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s most likely the security architecture in the Villa must have been compromised. This can\u2019t be an ordinary robbery case.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST reported that the Presidency on Monday confirmed an attack on the residence of Ibrahim Gambari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari<\/p>\n
