Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Former Arsenal and Chelsea defender, Ashley Cole, has said that Bukayo Saka\u2019s versatility could make him find it very difficult to become a top player if he doesn\u2019t nail down one position in the Gunners squad.<\/p>\n

Saka has played different positions for Arsenal under their manager, Mikel Arteta, this season, but Cole is now saying that he felt for him because he is used and abused by coaches who rely on his adaptability.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s a shining light in this Arsenal team,\u201d Cole told Sky Sports as Arsenal defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe plays with courage, fearless at times. But I just feel when you don\u2019t cement down one position, it\u2019s very, very difficult to nail that trade down to become a top, top player.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a manager, you love it, because he\u2019s adaptable, he can play in three or four positions, which is brilliant.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I just feel for him at times because he\u2019s kind of used and abused.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked what is Saka\u2019s best position, Cole replied: \u201cI like him from the right but not as a wing-back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like to see him in the attacking areas, where he can cut in on his left foot, combine, and he\u2019s got that smart little movement to get in behind with his pace as well.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
