Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Kaduna State Council, has called on all workers in the state to disregard the government\u2019s circular against the five days warning strike slated to begin this Monday.<\/p>\n

A statement by the State Secretary of the council, Comrade Christiana John Bawa, lamented that no any employer of the state government under the present leadership of Governor Nasir Elrufai has job security or is safe from disengagement.<\/p>\n

She recalled that in April 2021, Kaduna State Government sacked over four thousand workers without following due process.<\/p>\n

She also recalled that the state government under the leadership of governor Nasir El-Rufai sacked over thirty thousand workers in 2016 and up till date, their entitlements have not been settled.<\/p>\n

She noted that Kaduna State government is anti-worker and want to destroy the civil service in the name of reform, stressing that enough for the sacking of workers by the Kaduna State Government.<\/p>\n

She directed all workers, particularly teachers, local government and the state workers to disregard the government\u2019s circular against the warning strike.<\/p>\n

Comrade Christiana said that all affiliates of NLC in the state would join the strike.<\/p>\n

The statement explained that the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Ayuba Waba and other national Presidents with General Secretaries of affiliates will be in Kaduna State to ensure full enforcement of the strike.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
