Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Thirteen state governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) are currently meeting at the International Conference Centre of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Ibadan.<\/p>\n

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governors are Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State; Samuel Ortom of Benue; Douye Diri of Bayelsa; Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia and Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom.<\/p>\n

Others include Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Umar Fintiri of Adamawa; Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Nyesom Wike of Rivers and Godwin Obaseki of Edo.<\/p>\n

Also present is the host governor \u2013 Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and the Deputy Governor of Zamfara, Aliyu Gusau who is representing Gov. Bello Matawalle.<\/p>\n

It is expected that Gov. Darius Ishaku, of Taraba and Gov. Ben Ayade of Cross River, would join the team as the meeting progresses.<\/p>\n

The governors who arrived at the conference centre at exactly 1:10 pm in a coaster bus went into a closed-door meeting.<\/p>\n

The meeting is expected to focus on the security situation in the country, NAN reports.<\/p>\n

The meeting is presided by the Chairman of the PDP Governors\u201d Forum, Gov Aminu Tambuwal and would discuss other issues relating to the progress of the party.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
