Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met former President Goodluck Jonathan behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.<\/p>\n

The Personal Assistant on New media to the President, Bashir Ahmed, made this known in a tweet via his Twitter account.<\/p>\n

He tweeted, \u201c@MBuhari received former President @GEJonathan today.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe former leader was at the State House, Abuja, to brief the President over the new political crisis in Mali.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn ECOWAS delegation led by GEJ was in Bamako, the capital of Mali on Tuesday, for mediation. \u201d<\/p>\n

Jonathan was appointed last year by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as a special envoy to lead the sub-regional body\u2019s mediation mission in Mali.<\/p>\n
