Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has blamed his side\u2019s profligacy in front of goal for their 1-0 defeat to Cameroon in an international friendly on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa netted the only goal of the encounter in the first half of the game.<\/p>\n

Nigeria had more opportunities in front of goal, but were unable to record a goal.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most important thing is not the result because it was just a test match. It was interesting to see some new players because we had to manage the situation and we did well,\u201d Rohr told the Super Eagles media team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we had 17 shots on the goal while Cameroon only had three, they had only one on target which was the goal and we had six on target.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike I said, the result is not the most important thing in a friendly, the most important thing is to learn, to see some interesting things, to test some new players and to see what we want to do in September for the World Cup qualifiers.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur domination was not good enough because we had to score in the beginning of the game but we didn\u2019t and when you don\u2019t score you get punished.\u201d<\/p>\n
