Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Some Nigerian Youths who stormed the Gudu junction in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Saturday morning to protest the rising insecurity in the country, clashed with some security operatives.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST recalls that several groups and activists had vowed to stage protest in all parts of the country as Nigeria celebrates Democracy Day.<\/p>\n

Following the plan, some protesters early hours of Saturday, blocked roads in the area to decry the current state of the nation.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that the police operatives fired teargas at the protesters to disperse them.<\/p>\n

Confirming the incident, Abuja-based rights activist, Comrade Deji Adeyanju said the attack was carried out by the Police and DSS.<\/p>\n

He tweeted, \u201cWe have just been attacked by the police and SSS in Abuja as expected. #June12thProtest.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, at the Millennium Park just opposite the fountain, a few individuals wearing branded T-shirts with the inscription \u2018I Stand With Buhari\u2019 had assembled.<\/p>\n
