Onyema Nwachukwu made this known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>Nwachukwu said the soldiers deployed at the Forward Operational Base (FOB) of the 152 Battalion, Kumshe, gallantly dealt with the terrorists who attempted infiltrating into their camp.<\/p>\n<p>He disclosed that the terrorists, mounted on four gun trucks and several motorcycles, were met with fierce fire while attempting to infiltrate and attack the camp through the northern part of the troops\u2019 deployment.<\/p>\n<p>Security operatives foil attack by bandits, recover 300 cattle in Zamfara<\/p>\n<p>This resulted in the killing of six of them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe troops during the encounter remained dogged and sustained heavy gun fire on the terrorists and forced the terrorists to flee in total disarray.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey captured six AK 47 Rifles, one hand held grenade, assorted drugs and other First Aid items,\u201d Nwachukwu said.<\/p>\n<p>Police foil kidnap attempt, rescue 5 victims in Kaduna<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
