Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a Federal Government\u2019s team to engage Twitter over the suspension of its operations in the country.<\/p>\n

Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who will chair the team made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The team comprises the Attorney General of the Federation and Honourable Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami; Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige and relevant government agencies.<\/p>\n

Recall that the Buhari-led federal government had indefinitely suspended Twitter\u2019s operations over activities capable of undermining Nigeria\u2019s corporate existence.<\/p>\n

Twitter had written to the federal government seeking to engage it in a view to charting a path forward.<\/p>\n
