Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Kwara State police command, has rejected any engagement or negotiations with kidnappers on payment of ransom.<\/p>\n

The spokesman of the command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, declared this in a text message to DAILY POST, while reacting to the N20 million ransom demanded by the kidnappers who abducted one Lukman and killed his pregnant wife, Hawawu along Offa-Ojoku road at the weekend.<\/p>\n

He said in the message on Monday that, \u201d The command, as a principle does not talk about negotiation or ransom with kidnappers.<\/p>\n

\u201d We don\u2019t also encourage families of victims to do so.<\/p>\n

\u201d In no time, our efforts will yield positive results and the abductee will be rescued,\u201d Ajayi declared.<\/p>\n

The state Police Commissioner, Mohammed Lawal Bagega, had ordered a rescue operation for the release of the captive and the arrest of the masterminds of the bloody abduction.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST recalls that unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked Lukman and his wife along Offa-Ojoku road while heading home in a car.<\/p>\n

Lukman\u2019s pregnant wife was shot dead at the scene, while he was abducted and whisked away to an unknown destination and his whereabouts is still unknown at the time of this report.<\/p>\n

Lukman is a businessman who sells London used phones at the popular Owode market in Offa, Offa Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n

The gunmen, demanded N20 million ransom for his release, but the family claimed they could only raise N2 milion for the kidnappers.<\/p>\n
