\n\u201cPostponement of the election or not, APC\u2019s doomsday is inevitable and must come.<\/p>\n
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State has told the All Progressives Congress, APC, that its doomsday was only shifted by a week.<\/p>\n
The party stated this while urging members to remain calm and not to be daunted by the postponement of the 2019 general election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.<\/p>\n
The State Chairman of the PDP, Felix Obuah, stated this in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
The party noted that as shocking and embarrassing as the postponement is, Rivers people should remain peaceful and wait to exercise their franchise on the new dates.<\/p>\n
According to Rivers PDP, the electoral umpire has only succeeded in temporarily postponing the \u2018doomsday\u2019 for the APC, adding however that \u2018APC\u2019s doomsday\u2019 cannot be cancelled.<\/p>\n
The statement added, \u201cIt is an incontrovertible fact that Rivers people and indeed all Nigerians are united in the quest to do away with the APC.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cPostponement of the election or not, APC\u2019s doomsday is inevitable and must come.<\/p>\n
\u201cNigerians and particularly Rivers people are poised to send the APC packing, the party has inflicted so much pain, sorrow, hunger and hardship culminating in untimely deaths.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe PDP empathised with Rivers people who have expended so much resources and time to travel to their respective communities for the election.\u201d<\/p>\n
He urged them to \u201ctake their anger, waste of resources and time\u201d to the election next Saturday; and ensure that the APC is out.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe anger and disappointment arising from this INEC-APC conspiracy should sufficiently embolden Rivers people to troop out en masse on the rescheduled dates, so that the APC would become a thing of the past,\u201d Obuah declared.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
