Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Former Chelsea star, Glen Johnson, has agreed with Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, on the player that should win this year\u2019s Ballon d\u2019 Or.<\/p>\n

Pogba had last month tipped Chelsea midfielder, N\u2019Golo Kante, to win the Ballon d\u2019Or this year because of his impressive display for the Blues in the Champions League and Premier League.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old said, \u201cWhat I would like to say to the whole world is that the \u2018NG\u2019 [N\u2019Golo Kante] we\u2019ve seen in recent months has always been the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was no Cristiano [Ronaldo] and [Lionel] Messi in the [Champions League] semi-final, so it is good to see the performances of the midfielders or even the defenders.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said a long time ago that it would be appropriate, if Chelsea won, for him [Kante] to win the Ballon d\u2019Or. It would be deserved too.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Johnson feels Kante should be the man to claim the Ballon d\u2019 Or Golden Ball.<\/p>\n

Speaking on which player should win the Ballon d\u2019 Or this year, Johnson told betting odds, \u201cI would probably say N\u2019Golo Kant\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t often see holding midfielders win the trophy. It is normally strikers because they do the glossy bit, don\u2019t they? But I am going to go with Kant\u00e9.\u201d<\/p>\n
