Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Nigeria have dropped seven places in the FIFA rankings published today.<\/p>\n

The three-time African champions maintained their position in May, the last time the rating was released.<\/p>\n

However, that changed this time as there were international friendlies.<\/p>\n

The Super Eagles dropped from third to fifth in the continent and to the 34th spot globally, having accrued 1480 points.<\/p>\n

Nigeria failed to win any of their three international games, losing twice and settling for a draw once.<\/p>\n

Senegal are ranked first in Africa and 21st in the world with 1545 points, while Tunisia\u2019s Carthage Eagles are now 28th globally and second in Africa after accruing 1515 points.<\/p>\n

Globally, Belgium retained top spot, while Euro 2020 winners Italy moved up into the top five behind runners-up England.<\/p>\n
