Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Olabiyi Durojaiye, immediate past Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has passed away.<\/p>\n

He died in the wee hours of Tuesday in Lagos while receiving medical care for an undisclosed illness.<\/p>\n

Durojaiye was elected Ogun East Senator in 1999 on the Alliance for Democracy (AD) platform.<\/p>\n

The deceased will be remembered for his struggle during the days of National Democratic Coalition (NADECO).<\/p>\n

Born in 1933, Durojaiye was a legal practitioner and worked for 35 years in the public sector.<\/p>\n

He was a Director in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as well as the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc.<\/p>\n

Durojaiye\u2019s wife, Helen Olufunso Adejoke, died on June 6, 2009.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
