Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission, KAD-SIECOM, on Thursday, said, all arrangements concerning September 4, 2021 local Government Election in the state have been concluded.<\/p>\n

The Electoral Officer in charge of Jema\u2019a Local Government Area, Umaru Nuhu, while speaking at a sensitization program in Kafanchan, said the Commission has coded each electronic machine based on the voters\u2019 registration of each ward and polling unit.<\/p>\n

According to him, the coding will make it difficult for anyone to cast his\/her vote twice.<\/p>\n

\u2018the machines have also been upgraded to use only Permanent Voter Cards in casting votes.\u201d He said<\/p>\n

Also speaking, Interim Chairman, Jema\u2019a Local Government, Ibrahim Dayyabu Danladi, applauded Jama\u2019a Foundation for organizing the meeting.<\/p>\n

He said the meeting would go a long way to provide a peaceful atmosphere for hitch-free elections.<\/p>\n

Mr. Ibrahim Dayyabu Danladi called on those seeking elective positions in the September 4th poll to caution their supporters against acts that will jeopardize the conduct of the elections.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the National President, Jama\u2019a Foundation, Abdullahi Zubairu (Sarkin Fadan Jama\u2019a) said the meeting was to educate the people on the forthcoming Local government elections and the need for peaceful conduct before, during and after the election.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the foundation does not discriminate based on religion and political affiliation, hence, the invitation across-board.<\/p>\n

He said God gives power to whoever he wills and as such there was need for political actors not to take the election as a do or die affair.<\/p>\n

The sensitization meeting brought together, religious and traditional leaders, youth and women leaders, political parties leaders and security agencies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
