Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Armed men suspected to be bandits terrorizing some parts of Kaduna State have attacked the Zango community in Samaru, Zaria town and kidnapped unspecified number of residents.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST gathered that the incident occured on Friday morning when the attackers stormed the community with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically before whisking the victims away from the scene.<\/p>\n

The operation, which lasted for over 30 minutes, occured at about 1am when most residents were fast asleep.<\/p>\n

When contacted by DAILY POST, the state\u2019s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige said he will inquire and revert.<\/p>\n

However, Senator Shehu Sani who represented the Kaduna Central during the 8th National Assembly, confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n

In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, the former lawmaker urged institutions in the affected area to be proactive.<\/p>\n

The tweet reads, \u201cEarly this morning, Bandits stormed Zango area Samaru, Zaria & kidnapped scores of people.<\/p>\n

\u201cAhmadu Bello University main campus, College of Aviation and Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology located in the same area must take immediate preventive security steps to secure lives\u201d.<\/p>\n
