Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has said his team will be battling with the heat and an artificial pitch, when they play Cape Verde in a 2022 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Rohr also described their hosts as a very defensive team.<\/p>\n

Nigeria are in Mindelo to play their second fixture in the qualifying series, after defeating Liberia 2-0 last Friday.<\/p>\n

And Rohr has stated some of the issues they have to overcome, if they will make it two wins out of two.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt\u2019s a different pitch because we\u2019re not used to playing on a synthetic pitch. Some of our players have played on this pitch when they were playing in Nigeria, but they are now in Europe.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe trained in Lagos on a synthetic pitch, but this one is softer and this is better to play on.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be hot (on match day), but we have to adapt and give our best.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to change the team, we have only 19 players available for this game and we have some problems and it\u2019s a challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n
