Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Sen. Ajibola Basiru, has disclosed that 70% of the Federal Government\u2019s annual budgets goes into debt servicing and overhead cost.<\/p>\n

He said Nigeria was currently running an unsustainable economy with no hope of job creation, hence, everyone should think of creativity rather than looking for Government jobs.<\/p>\n

Senator Basiru spoke at the Skills and Entrepreneurial programme organized for Youth Corp members at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Ede, Sound State.<\/p>\n

The Senator told corps members that the days of waiting endlessly for job opportunities in government agencies can no longer be sustainable.<\/p>\n

Senate Spokesman urges youths to look beyond certificates<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe situation is not as gloomy as people paint it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to advise you to embark on core entrepreneurial training in fashion designing, plumbing, event management, makeup, catering among others.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Senator further called for a reform of the educational system that is largely based on theory to be more practical based whereby Nigerian graduates will be better equipped with requisite skills and knowledge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
