Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State chapter, has cried against what it called \u201cthe neglect\u201d by Kaduna State government of the remaining students of Bethel Baptist High school, Damishi, Kaduna who are still in the hands of kidnappers for over two months.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST recalls that Bethel Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna was invaded by bandits in the early hours of Monday, 5th July, 2021. They went away with about 121 students.<\/p>\n

Some of the abducted students have regained their freedom in batches, leaving 31 of them in the hands of their abductors, till date. There is no story about their whereabouts.<\/p>\n

Rev. John Joseph Hayab, state chairman of CAN, in a statement he personally issued lamented that, \u201cThe silence about the 31 Baptist High School, children still in the hands of their captors is bad and condemnable.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Rev. Hayab, the children were taken away from their school on 5th July 2021, stressing that \u201cit is 68 days today and the leaders of the country are silent as if all is well when truly all is not well.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow can it be well when parents of these 31 children have not known sleep for these 68 days? Any caring leader will also not sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

He begged that the remaining abducted children should be released or rescue without delay.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all know that Kaduna State Government closed down schools for over a month claiming that the military will go after bandits and have again asked all schools to reopen without bringing back our children,\u201d he lamented.<\/p>\n

The state chairman of CAN asked \u201cwhat happened with the military exercise that leads to the closure of schools, was it just another drama to divert the attention of parents and those sympathizing with them?\u201d<\/p>\n

He assured that the Church in Kaduna State would not keep quiet till all their children and everyone in captivity is released and returned home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
