Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Anthony Joshua\u2019s promoter, Eddie Hearn has confirmed the British boxer\u2019s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.<\/p>\n

Joshua was outboxed and dethroned by Usyk at the Tottenham Stadium on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

AJ could not withstand Usyk\u2019s speed, movement and accuracy and the Ukrainian is now the new heavyweight champion.<\/p>\n

Although the Nigerian-born boxer recorded some moments of success throughout the fight, they weren\u2019t enough to give him victory.<\/p>\n

The bell saved AJ from being knocked out as Usyk ultimately outclassed Joshua and had him out on his feet in the final round.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian boxer recorded 117-112, 116-112, 115-113 against Joshua to emerge a two-division king of the world.<\/p>\n

Hearn told Sky sport that AJ has vowed to win the rematch which will certainly be his next fight: \u201cI spoke to him [Joshua].<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a tough fight, gruelling fight, he\u2019s not quite talking the way you\u2019d expect him to talk at the moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cDevastated. Already talking about training again. They want to look at the eye socket, he says it\u2019s fine.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was always the danger of the fight \u2013 you overthink the fight, you try and be too technical, you don\u2019t use your attributes and you don\u2019t make your mark early enough in the fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cAJ\u2019s desire is still there.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fighter in AJ is already talking about, \u2018I\u2019ll win the rematch, I\u2019ll win the rematch.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a tough defeat. Usyk was the deserved winner and he\u2019s got to make changes in the rematch.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe will want to go straight back into that rematch, he will be the underdog in the rematch this time after that tonight, but that\u2019s what he does.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe chose tonight to take on a pound-for-pound great. It didn\u2019t work out, but he should get credit for that.<\/p>\n
