{"id":50759,"date":"2021-09-26T17:41:28","date_gmt":"2021-09-26T16:41:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/?p=50759"},"modified":"2021-09-26T17:00:42","modified_gmt":"2021-09-26T16:00:42","slug":"kaduna-pdp-floors-apc-again-wins-kajuru-lg-election","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/parties\/kaduna-pdp-floors-apc-again-wins-kajuru-lg-election","title":{"rendered":"Kaduna: PDP floors APC again, wins Kajuru LG election"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Ibrahim Gajere of Peoples Democratic, Party (PDP) has been declared winner of the Kajuru Local Government chairmanship election.<\/p>\n<p>The Returning Officer, Dr Ibrahim DanMaraya, announced the results of the election on Sunday, NAN reports.<\/p>\n<p>DanMaraya said Gajere polled 14,432 votes to defeat the immediate past LG Chairman and All Progressives (APC) candidate, Cafra Caino, who scored 9,095 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the PDP won nine councillorship seats, while the ruling APC took one.<\/p>\n<p>The Kaduna State lndependent National Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) moved the conduct from September 4 to September 25 over security concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Three weeks ago, PDP candidate for Kaura LG election, Mathias Siman was declared winner.<\/p>\n<p>The Returning Officer, Prof. Mande Hosea announced that Siman polled 19,505 votes to defeat APC\u2019s Adamu Donatus who got 10,942 votes.<\/p>\n<p>The APC also lost in Governor Nasir El-Rufai\u2019s polling unit \u2013 01 Ungwan Sarki \u2013 in the Kaduna North LG election.<\/p>\n<p>After voting ended in the ward, the Presiding Officer, Muhammad Sani said APC scored 62 votes, while PDP polled 86 votes. The PDP floored the APC in the councilorship election.<\/p>\n<p>In his reaction, El-Rufai explained that his party lost because it did not manipulate the e-voting machines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
