Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Everton forward, Alex Iwobi, has been replaced in Nigeria\u2019s squad for next week\u2019s World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic, by Lorient striker Terem Moffi, Goal reports.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Rafael Benitez confirmed that Iwobi is battling an injury and might not play against Manchester United in their Premier League game on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Benitez\u2019s update came only after the 25-year-old was included in Gernot Rohr\u2019s team for the double-header fixtures against CAR on October 7 and 10.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlex has a little problem and I\u2019m not sure if he\u2019ll be available for tomorrow,\u201d Benitez said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I\u2019m really pleased with the way he\u2019s working and training. I think he\u2019s improving and he\u2019s enjoying that. We can improve him more because he\u2019s working so hard \u2013 he can be a much better player by the end of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n

In September, Iwobi played in one of the Super Eagles\u2019 qualifying games at the Teslim Balogun Stadium which ended in a 2-0 win over Liberia, thanks to Kelechi Iheanacho\u2019s brace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
