Awoniyi has netted five times in seven appearances in the 2021\/2022 campaign.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old was initially not in coach Gernot Rohr\u2019s plan for the double-header against the Central African Republic in the 2022 World Cup qualifying series.<\/p>\n

But he was called up to replace the injured Terem Moffi.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard work and dedication but for me sometimes you work hard and don\u2019t see the result but just keep on working, be patient and God will do the rest. I\u2019m very happy to be part of the Super Eagles.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, it\u2019s every player\u2019s dream. Every player will be happy to be part of the Super Eagles and in one of them.<\/p>\n
