Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has described the agitation for Biafra as madness.<\/p>\n

Umahi pointed out that the Southeast would be the greatest loser if Biafra is achieved.<\/p>\n

He said the Southeast has invested in every part of Nigeria; hence people of the region cannot afford to lose their investments due to Biafra agitation.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Channels Television, Umahi said the Southeast elites are against Biafra but rather prefer to be treated equally as Nigerians.<\/p>\n

Umahi said: \u201cMeanwhile, every elite in South-East is not desirous of Biafra, we don\u2019t want Biafra; we want to be treated equally like other regions in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, this idea of Biafra is madness and we have said, \u2018No\u2019, we don\u2019t want Biafra.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we go our separate ways, South-East people will lose a lot because we\u2019ve invested a lot in every part of this nation. It is not to our advantage to leave our investment and walk away.\u201d<\/p>\n

He accused the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, of sending out messages of fear and killing across the Southeast.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
