Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded two COVID-19 related deaths.<\/p>\n

The NCDC made this known via its verified website on Friday bringing the country\u2019s fatality toll to 2,742.<\/p>\n

NCDC also recorded 290 additional infections in 14 states and the FCT.<\/p>\n

The NCDC disclosed that Abuja ranked first on the log with 127 cases, followed by Lagos with 45 cases while Kaduna in the North-west ranked third on the log with 28 cases.<\/p>\n

While South-southern states of Delta, Rivers, Edo and Akwa Ibom States recorded 18 cases, 10 cases, three cases and one case respectively, North-Central states of Kwara, Plateau and Nasarawa recorded 17 cases, 13 cases and four cases respectively.<\/p>\n

It added that Zamfara recorded 10 cases; Imo recorded six cases while Ekiti, Ondo and Oyo States recorded five cases, three cases and one case respectively.<\/p>\n

The agency noted that the additional confirmed infections bring the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 207,210.<\/p>\n

NCDC advised Nigerians to take preventive measures seriously as all the four COVID-19 variants of concern were circulating in Africa.<\/p>\n
