Mancini believes Jorginho deserves the Ballon d\u2019 Or because the 29-year-old has won the Champions League and the Euro 2020, adding that it would be \u2018strange\u2019 if he didn\u2019t win it.<\/p>\n

Jorginho was recently named among the 30-man nominees for this year\u2019s Ballon d\u2019 Or.<\/p>\n

When quizzed about the five Italy players nominated for the Ballon d\u2019 Or, Mancini was quoted by Goal as telling reporters, \u201cThey are there because they are good, not because of me.<\/p>\n

\u201cJorginho should, in my opinion, win the Ballon d\u2019Or.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has won everything and deserves it a lot. It would seem strange to me otherwise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jorginho will battle Paris Saint-Germain\u2019s Lionel Messi, Bayern Munich\u2019s Robert Lewandowski, Manchester United\u2019s Cristiano Ronaldo, Chelsea\u2019s N\u2019Golo Kante, among others for the prestigious prize.<\/p>\n

The winner of this year\u2019s Ballon d\u2019 Or will be announced on November 29.<\/p>\n
