Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Mr Valentine Ozigbo yesterday moved his campaign to Asaba, Delta State.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST observed that as a result of the insecurity in Anambra State, the PDP candidate has taken his campaigns to most Nigerian cities, including Abuja, Lagos, Umuahia, Aba, Port Harcourt and now Asaba.<\/p>\n

During the event which was held in Asaba and later moved to the Delta State Government House, Ozigbo and the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa received some members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) into the party.<\/p>\n

The APGA members, led by the Anambra State Youth Leader of the party, Mr Eziokwu Magnus, led some former aides of Governor Obiano into the party.<\/p>\n

Some of the decampees included; Hon Abuchi Egboo, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Environment; Barr Eziafa Charisma, a Special Assistant on Legal Matters; Emeka Nwabunwane, Deputy Chairman of Dunukofia and SSA on Community Liaison; Engr Ibik Kelvin, the SSA to the Governor on Works; Uzuegbunnam Chike, an APGA Zonal Youth Leader in Anambra Central; several special assistants, Councillors local government youth leaders.<\/p>\n

In a brief speech, Ozigbo said: \u201cI hail the new entrants for their courage to take a stand for what is right for Anambra by rejecting a failed government and party when the state needs them to stand up and be heard the most.<\/p>\n

\u201cComrade Magnus and this powerful delegation are welcome to the PDP, and I can assure you that this is a sign of things to come.<\/p>\n

\u201cNdi Anambra in Delta State have unanimously thrown their weight behind this historic project. As a sign of their commitment to this project, Comrade Magnus and his contingent went out of their way to witness the memorable occasion and today, they are publicly pitching their tent with the PDP.<\/p>\n
