{"id":5245,"date":"2019-02-24T15:42:54","date_gmt":"2019-02-24T15:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=5245"},"modified":"2019-02-24T15:42:54","modified_gmt":"2019-02-24T15:42:54","slug":"atiku-loses-dankwambos-polling-unit-to-buhari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/atiku-loses-dankwambos-polling-unit-to-buhari","title":{"rendered":"Atiku loses Dankwambo\u2019s polling unit to Buhari"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe State has failed to deliver his polling unit for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.<\/p>\n<p>At the Hassan Manzo PU 005 where Governor Dankwambo voted alongside his wife, Atiku\u2019s main challenger, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, polled 453 votes to defeat Atiku who scored 80 votes only.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2069\" src=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/01\/buhari-worried-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/upload\/sites\/3\/2019\/01\/buhari-worried-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/upload\/sites\/3\/2019\/01\/buhari-worried.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Also the APC won the unit for the House of Representative election for the Gombe\/Kwami\/Funakaye Federal constituency, as Yaya Bauchi Tango of APC scored 125 votes against Shehu Abubakar Durbi of PDP who polled 93 votes.<\/p>\n<p>However, the governor won his polling unit for the Gombe North senatorial seat, where he is contesting against Senator Saidu Ahmed Alkali of the APC.<\/p>\n<p>PDP polled 325 for the senatorial election against APC\u2019s candidate who scored 212 votes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe State has failed to deliver his polling unit for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
