Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday vowed to leave office on May 29, 2023.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian leader swore by the Holy Qur\u2019an that he will serve in accordance with the constitution and go when his time is up.<\/p>\n

\u201cTazarce\u2019 (tenure extension). I don\u2019t want anybody to start talking about and campaigning for an unconstitutional extension. I will not accept that\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

Buhari spoke at a meeting in Makkah with a select group of Nigerians resident in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he just ended a visit.<\/p>\n

He gave assurances that in the balance of \u201ceighteen months or so of my time left, whatever I can do to improve the life of Nigerians, I will do it for the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

The President commended diaspora Nigerians in the Kingdom for representing the country well and projecting its good image.<\/p>\n
