Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Uche Secondus, suspended National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Friday lost his bid to stop the party\u2019s planned national convention.<\/p>\n

The Appeal Court dismissed an interlocutory suit by Secondus aimed at stopping the convention.<\/p>\n

PDP\u2019s national convention is scheduled to hold on Saturday (tomorrow).<\/p>\n

However, a three-man Appeal Court Panel sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, dismissed the suit.<\/p>\n

Reading the judgment, Justice Gabriel Kolawole described the suit before it as an after-thought and abuse of the court process.<\/p>\n

The court blamed him for not acting when his ward and local governments suspended him until now.<\/p>\n

It urged the party to go on with the planned convention.<\/p>\n
