Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho, has said he would pick Manchester City\u2019s Kevin de Bruyne to win the Ballon d\u2019Or award this year, if he couldn\u2019t vote for himself.<\/p>\n

Jorginho is on the 30-man shortlist after winning the Champions League with the Blues and European Championships with Italy.<\/p>\n

He is one of the top favourites alongside Lionel Messi (Paris Saint-Germain) and Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich).<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe I\u2019d vote for Kevin de Bruyne for everything he\u2019s been doing and for the beautiful football he\u2019s been showing in recent years.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those who like football, it\u2019s great to see him play because he understands football, he is a player with above-average intelligence,\u201d Jorginho told ESPN Brasil.<\/p>\n

The winner of this year\u2019s prize will be announced November 29.<\/p>\n
