Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>About 1, 266 members of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic party PDP have shifted their loyalty to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Jigawa State.<\/p>\n

State APC chairman, Alhaji Aminu Sani received the decampees on Sunday in Maigatari Local Government Area.<\/p>\n

This is coming weeks after he was elected as the new State\u2019s Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST reported that all the state\u2019s executive members from ward to state Congress emerged through consensus, in accordance with the party\u2019s constitution.<\/p>\n

Receiving the decampees in Maigatari, the party chairman said the development had clearly indicated that the party had fulfilled its promises.<\/p>\n

Represented by the party youth leader, Alhaji Ibrahim Ya\u2019u, he said the decampees would be given equal rights as every member of the party.<\/p>\n

In his speech, the council chairman, Uzairu Nadabo said the defection was part of the activities to mark his 100 days in office as the local Government Chairman.<\/p>\n
