Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, sent a message to Sa\u2019ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, as he marks his 15th year as the leader of Muslim Ummah and Chairman, Sokoto State Council of Traditional Rulers.<\/p>\n

Buhari\u2019s message to the monarch was conveyed in a statement to DAILY POST and signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.<\/p>\n

Buhari described the Sultan as a \u201cpeacebuilder and a true embodiment of commitment to service,\u201d adding that he\u2019s a leader who dedicated his life to the welfare of the people.<\/p>\n

The statement read, \u201cGreetings to His Eminence, the Sultan in his 15th year on the throne of his fathers.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of my family and I, the government and people of Nigeria, I wish you many more years in the position and working tirelessly to promote inter-religious and inter-communal harmony throughout the federation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very reassuring to have such leadership at these challenging times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buhari also prayed Allah to grant the Sultan long and healthy life.<\/p>\n
