Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has raised an alarm that the Cameroonian Ambazonia separatist group has attacked Manga Community in Takum Local Government Council of Taraba State.<\/p>\n

The lawmaker came under a point of order on Tuesday at the Senate, where he revealed that the village head of Manga community and some residents are missing.<\/p>\n

He explained that the attack by the Ambazonia separatist group has led to the sack of residents of Manga village, thereby creating other Internally Displaced Persons in the state.<\/p>\n

The lawmaker described the Manga attack, a village that is 20 kilometers away from Kashimbilla Dam, as an encroachment of Nigeria\u2019s territorial integrity that shouldn\u2019t be condoned.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cI rise this morning to draw the attention of our countrymen and particularly our security agencies to this unfortunate incident which undermines our integrity and sovereignty as a nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cTakum local government houses the 23 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, and so Mr. President, it is my humble submission that the Nigerian Army should rise to the challenge and curb this wanton territorial expansion.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir (Separatists) motive is yet unknown, whether they want to expand territory or lay claim for Southwest Cameroon is not yet clear.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I speak, a number of individuals have gone missing and their whereabouts are yet unknown. The village also is razed down.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Senate, thereafter, held a minute silence to honour those killed by the Ambazonia separatists from Southern Cameroon in Manga community.<\/p>\n
