Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Barcelona midfielder, Pedri, has won this year\u2019s Golden Boy award.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old clinched the prize after 24 of the 40 journalists voting for the award selected him in top place. 36 picked Pedri in their top three.<\/p>\n

Pedri made 73 appearances for club and country last campaign, including extensive runs in Euro 2020 and the Olympics with Spain.<\/p>\n

Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Jude Bellingham, finished in second place with his points tally of 119 far behind Pedri\u2019s 318.<\/p>\n

The award is given out by a panel of leading journalists to the top Europe-based player who is aged 21 or under.<\/p>\n
