The Presidency has reacted to viral comments online from Nigerians over presidential results from Kano, Borno, Yobe and other Northern states.<\/p>\n
So far, President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in most Northern states in Nigeria.<\/p>\n
The results especially that of Kano, Borno and Yobe states have continued to generate reactions and raise questions on social media.<\/p>\n
But, responding to reactions on Twitter, Buhari\u2019s aide, Bashir Ahmaad came to defend the votes.<\/p>\n
Ahmaad noted that hatred for Buhari, makes Northerners love him the more.<\/p>\n
On his verified Twitter page, he wrote: \u201cIn my State, KANO, we have 44 LGAs, the result of the Saturday\u2019s election in the State shows that Buhari \u2014 44, Atiku \u2014 0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have never failed to deliver for Baba, we have been doing that since 2003, and in 2023 we will do exactly what he says, that\u2019s how much we love him.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are angry, very angry because northerners voted one northerner over another northerner, just because of that you are insulting the entire northerners.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will never understand that, by the way, if you don\u2019t know your hatred makes him more loved by his people.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Buhari polled 1,464,768 defeating Atiku who scored 391,573 in Kano.<\/p>\n
