The anti-graft agency has asked Nigerian Immigration Service to inform it whenever Obiano is travelling abroad.<\/p>\n<p>2. Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has said the current fuel subsidy regime is not beneficial to Nigerians. The governor who spoke at the launch of the World Bank Nigeria Development Update (NDU), said one of Nigeria\u2019s neighbouring countries, Cameroon shut down its refinery because of the cheap fuel they are getting from Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>3. The Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, says the country\u2019s national airline, Nigeria Air, is expected to take off by April 2022. He said this Wednesday while speaking to State House reporters after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>4. The Senate Committee on Finance, yesterday, said there is no provision for monthly N5000 transport grant to 40 million poor Nigerians in the 2022 budget currently being considered by the National Assembly. The chairman of the committee, Senator Adeola Olamilekan Solomon, stated this while reacting to FG\u2019s claim that it will pay Nigerians N5000 after removing the subsidy in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>5. Some Secondary school students in Abeokuta, Ogun State, have reportedly stoned the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Obantoko Division, Alimeke Ignatius, in the head, during a clash in the metropolis. It was gathered that the students of Egba Comprehensive High School and Asero High School in Asero, both in Abeokuta, had engaged one another in a bloody clash.<\/p>\n<p>6. The House of Representatives yesterday, rejected a bill to allow citizens to drag the government to court for failing to provide social welfare. The bill which was sponsored by Sergius Ogun from Edo State, sought to make justiciable the fundamental objectives as contained in sections 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 of the Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>7. National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, on Wednesday, received another batch of 158 stranded Nigerians from Libya into the country. The Returnees who were voluntarily assisted by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 5.47 pm aboard Al Buraq Airline Boeing 737-800.<\/p>\n<p>8. Ebonyi, State Police Command, Wednesday, arrested a \u201cfake\u201d lawyer, in the state. The lawyer, who claimed to be an authentic legal practitioner, changed the narrative when he was arrested, adding that he was never a lawyer.<\/p>\n<p>9. The House of Representatives has resolved to investigate the National Cancer Control Plan established by the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari, to determine why fewer Nigerians with cancer cannot access treatment at the special centres. The House mandated its committees on Health Institutions and Health Care Services to \u201cinvestigate the FG\u2019s implementation of the National Cancer Control Plan 2018-2022 to ensure its implementation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>10.
