Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have attacked the Te\u2019egbe community in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing an unspecified number of residents.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred on Friday morning when the assailants stormed the community with sophisticated weapons.<\/p>\n

According to an eyewitness who spoke to our correspondent from the community, about 10 bodies have been recovered while scores are still missing.<\/p>\n

Details of the incident are still sketchy as of the time of writing this report.<\/p>\n

However, when contacted by DAILY POST, the state\u2019s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ubah Gabriel confirmed the attack.<\/p>\n

According to him, the Commissioner of Police is at the scene to assess the damages done during the attack.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cWe are aware of the incident, the Commissioner of Police is currently there, details will be communicated to you shortly. I will release a press statement\u201d.<\/p>\n
