Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Senator Kabiru Marafa\u2019s faction of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has concluded its Congresses with the election of twenty-nine executive members to oversee the affairs of the faction in the next three years.<\/p>\n

The faction\u2019s spokesman, Bello Bakyasuwa said there were thirty-two delegates from each ward and thirty delegates from each of the Local Government areas of the state.<\/p>\n

He said the state congress was hitch-free and that Surajo Garba Maikatako Gusau was elected as the faction\u2019s chairman while Abubakar Yargaida emerged as the state secretary of the party.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me reiterate that this new leadership of Senator Marafa\u2019s faction of APC in Zamfara State is very much aware of what\u2019s happening within the party in the state\u201d added.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny state Congress arising from the camp of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle is a gimmick to divert the attention of people\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTherefore, with these solid Congresses of Senator Marafa\u2019s faction, this party structure is very much in good shape\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the party\u2019s constitution provides that every Congress be conducted in the state capital, but because of the security of delegates, it was conducted in Tsafe town, Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince Matawalle\u2019s camp was conducting its own Congress in Gusau, there was no reason to all conduct our own Congress in Gusau, the state capital due to security challenges\u201d<\/p>\n
