Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State has warned that anyone yet to revalidate his membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and captured on the APC national website will no longer be considered as a member.<\/p>\n

The Governor made this declaration at the inauguration of new executive members of the party who emerged by consensus in the State Congress of the party.<\/p>\n

The governor\u2019s declaration was coming on the heels of a factional congress held in Tsafe town, Tsafe Local Government Area of the State by one time Senator, Kabiru Garba Marafa.<\/p>\n

Matawalle, who expressed satisfaction in the way the exercise was conducted, that gave birth to the emergence of Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani as State APC Chairman, said the registration is ongoing and encouraged all eligible persons interested in the party to come forward and register while old members should come and revalidate their membership.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll those people making noises at a time while their membership is not even valid should let go of their arrogance and respect the party\u2019s leadership hierarchy and constitution by going according to laid down guiding rules and regulations,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

However, the team leader deployed to the state from the party\u2019s National Secretariat to conduct the congresses, Alhaji Kabir Ibrahim Masari pointed out that the national leadership of the party led by the Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni recognized the Matawalle-led party leadership in the state.<\/p>\n

He congratulated the new executive members and urged them to carry everyone along so that the party can continue to enjoy the people\u2019s support and goodwill in the state.<\/p>\n

In his message, the state\u2019s political leader and first civilian governor, Senator Ahmad Sani Yarima who cited verses of the Holy Qur\u2019an on leadership, explained that all \u201cthose who deliberately choose to challenge Matawalle\u2019s leadership should know that they are challenging the will of Allah who gives and takes away power wherever and whenever he chooses.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ceremony, which was attended by all National and State Assembly members, former two governors of the state and their deputies, as well as other political bigwigs of the state was concluded with the oath of office by the new leaders administered by the state\u2019s Attorney -General of the state.<\/p>\n

The 36-member executive has Alhaji Tukur Danfulani as Chairman, Maikatako as Secretary and Alhaji Yusuf Idris Gusau as Publicity Secretary.<\/p>\n
