Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has identified one of those kidnapped by bandits in Anguwan Gimbiya area of the state on Friday.<\/p>\n

Sani disclosed that a chieftain of Ohanaeze in the state, Eze Fred Awagu Odum Igbo 1, was one of those abducted by bandits.<\/p>\n

In a tweet, the former lawmaker lamented that the bandits operated freely for hours.<\/p>\n

According to the socio-political activist, the incident was a tragedy.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cEze Fred Awagu Odum Igbo 1 an Ohaneze chieftain in Kaduna state is one of the several persons kidnapped yesterday at Anguwan Gimbiya in the Outskirts of Kaduna city.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bandits operated freely for hours.This is the tragedy of our times.\u201d<\/p>\n

DAILY POST had reported that gunmen had attacked the Anguwan Gimbiya community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State<\/p>\n

The gunmen were said to have killed at least two residents.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that the incident which occured on Friday morning, also led to the abduction of about 50 persons in the community.<\/p>\n

The assailants were said to have invaded the community early hours of Friday with sophisticated weapons and shooting sporadically, leading to the death of the two people.<\/p>\n
